Paving for paths and walkways
Paved paths are very appealing and are extremely well wearing,
whether they provide a means of moving around or a feature
attraction through a garden.
There are many alternatives available for creating just the
right look for your home, smooth surface, non-slip and a range
of textures, colours and finishes.
Paths are best created using a modular or "no cuts"
look. A mixture of paving sizes can be very effective provided
the path is wide enough to create an elegant appearance.
Sloping paths, particularly if they see little sun, are best
laid with non-slip pavers. However, the smooth paver can be
used if necessary to match other areas in your garden or around
your home, but treated (etched) with a mild acid to ensure
a slip resistant surface.
If your paths are not used extensively (really link paths)
they can be laid as stepping stones with river pebble or low
ground cover planting between. This can be very effective,
providing a stunning yet simple lanscaping feature. |
